This will happen on February 13, Gazprom has announced, according to TASS.

The joint project company South Stream Serbia AG (51 percent owned by Gazprom, and 49 percent by Serbia) was established by Serbia and Russia in order to build the now abandoned South Stream gas pipeline, that was designed to diversify the supply of Russian gas to Europe, TASS said.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic confirmed on Monday that construction of the Serbian Stream - a gas pipeline from Bulgaria to Serbia that will replace the South Stream - would begin soon.

She said the South Stream company, established for the project to build the gas pipeline of the same name, would be renamed accordingly.

More than 50 percent of the construction pipeline that will supply Turkey with Russian natural gas under the Turkish Stream project has been completed. 

Denmark passed a law on Thursday that could allow it to ban Russia's Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from going through its waters, Reuters reported.

Some 30 percent of the offshore construction of the Turkish Stream Pipeline has been completed, the project company announced in a statement on Nov. 29.

"The Republic of Turkey is ready for any energy cooperation with the Republic of Bulgaria, which will lead to security of energy supply". This was said by Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albaicar, who met with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Energy Minister Temenujka Petkova as part of a one-day visit to the country yesterday.

''I  am waiting for a letter from the European Commission on whether they will allow me or not to start negotiations for a direct pipeline from Turkish Stream to Bulgaria'', Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said at the annual meeting of Bulgarian ambassadors, quoted by BGNES.

Russian energy major Gazprom has signed an agreement with Hungary to deliver gas via the Turkish Stream pipeline, the MTI news agency reported, citing Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.

Azeri Energy Minister Natig Aliyev died on June 9, a day after being transferred to hospital in Istanbul for treatment for a heart complaint, Azeri news agency APA-Economics reported.

The 69-year-old veteran executive in Azerbaijan's energy sector was president of state energy company SOCAR and chaired the company's board of directors between 1993 and 2005.
