SUBOTICA - Leader of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) Istvan Pasztor stated that in the elections in Hungary, citizens holding dual citizenship from Vojvodina voted similarly as the citizens of Hungary.

NOVI SAD - Leader of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) Istvan Pasztor stated on Saturday that the party is ready to take over its share of work and responsibilities in the new government and added that he would confer with leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic on Monday, April 7.

NOVI SAD - The Assembly of Vojvodina on Friday adopted the provincial development programme for the period between 2014 and 2020, described by Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic as a historic document that makes it possible to draw money from EU funds and outlines the fundamental routes of development.

The government of the Serbian province of Vojvodina and its capital Novi Sad are soon to be transformed into an "executive council" and a "seat of the provincial authority", if a new draft statute for the province is adopted.

"The northern province of Vojvodina will no longer be in charge of establishing basic policy at the level of the autonomous province of Vojvodina," it reads.

Early elections in Vojvodina "reality"

BELGRADE -- Novi Sad Mayor Miloš Vučević (SNS) says early provincial elections in Vojvodina are "a reality because the provincial administration has lost its legitimacy."

NOVI SAD- The League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) will continue to insist that the Autonomous Province (AP) of Vojvodina be given back its legislative, judicial and executive powers, said LSV leader Nenad Canak in talks with Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.

NOVI SAD - There are no legal possibilities for calling early provincial elections in Vojvodina at this time, Istvan Pastor, the president of the assembly of the Serbian province, said on Friday at a meeting with the head of the EU delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.

After their triumphs in the general election and in polls in the capital, the Progressive Party has its eye on toppling the Democrats' last bastion - the northern province of Vojvodina.
