NSI: Total Producer Price Index in Industry in June 2017 Decreased by 0.2%

Total Producer Price Index in Industry in June 2017 decreased by 0.2% compared to the previous month. Lower prices were registered in the manufacturing by 0.3% and in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 0.1%, while in the mining and quarrying industry the prices rose by 0.8%, says the data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

US inflation flat in June while retail sales sink

Cheap energy prices kept U.S. inflation flat in June in another sign price pressures remain weak in the world's largest economy, Labor Department figures showed on July 14.

The falling price of gasoline also helped hold down US retail sales, which contracted for the second straight month in June, the Commerce Department reported separately.

National Statistical Institute: Monthly Inflation of Minus 0.5% in June 2017

The consumer price index in June 2017 compared to May 2017 was 99.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was -0.5%. The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (June 2017 compared to December 2016) has been 0.7% and the annual inflation in June 2017 compared to June 2016 was 1.9%.

Greek consumer price inflation slows to 0.9 pct in June

Greece's annual EU-harmonized inflation rate slowed in June, statistics service data showed on Monday.

The reading in June was 0.9 percent from 1.5 percent in May.

Consumer prices were led lower by household equipment and health services.

The data also showed the headline consumer price index decelerated to 1 percent year-on-year from 1.2 percent in the previous month.

Turkey's Competition Board has opened a probe into claims that recent hikes in fresh fruit and vegetable prices were caused by unfair competitive moves by some companies, citing extreme price increases in some products that have a significant share in the budgets of low and middle incomers.
