A Russian missile struck an apartment block in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Friday, Kyiv officials said, injuring at least nine people including two children.

"Dnipro. Another terrorist attack," said Sergiy Kruk, head of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, on Telegram.

"Currently, we know of 9 injured, including two children. Work continues."

As reported, Ukraine has now brought thousands of troops into the battle in southeastern Ukraine.
The increase in the number of soldiers and firepower is focused on the southeastern region of Zaporizhzhia, a Western official said.

Fierce fighting continues in the south and east of the country.
Ukrainian officials announced that Russian forces carried out another attack by Iranian-made drones on Kyiv, but that they were successfully shot down.

Russia said it had neutralised two Ukrainian drones over Moscow during the night with no casualties reported.
