Bulgaria's Traffic Police Proposes Criminalization of Speeding
The Traffic Police department of the Sofia police directorate will propose changes to the Penal Code and the Road Traffic Act aimed at strengthening sanctions for violations.
The proposal envisages the criminalization of speeding, drink-driving, and driving without a license.
Selfie Attempt 'Likely Cause' for Crash That Killed 2 in Bulgaria
An attempt at taking a selfie was the likely reason for a car crash that claimed the lives of two teenagers, one of the survivors has said.
Four people were traveling in a car which tumbled over near the town of Sliven on Sunday. A 14-year-old girl and a 18-year-old boy, both in the back seats, died in the incident, while the driver, 18, is in hospital with a serious head injury.
Two die in crash involving car with Austrian plates
Two persons died early on Thursday in a traffic accident on the road between Pozarevac and Veliko Gradiste, RTS is reporting.
The driver of a car involved in the crash was injured seriously, but his life is not in danger.

Hundreds of Bulgarian drivers will be joining the battle against violators of road traffic rules. Selected cars will be equipped with free cameras and will thus be providing information to roadside police officers.
Divers recover body from car in sea at Rafina port
Divers recovered the body of the person believed to have been driving a vehicle that fell into the sea at the port of Rafina, northeast Athens, on Saturday.
According to reports, the body was discovered in the car?s back seat area, while witness reports suggested there was only one person inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Traffic accidents down in March
Traffic accidents in the month of March decreased by 13.1 percent compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), but the number of the people that died on the streets of the country rose by 18.8 percent.

French cyclist hit by car, killed in southwestern Turkey
A French cyclist has been killed in an accident after being struck by a car in the southwestern province of Mu?la.
Christian Jean Auguste Niaffe, 59, was struck at around 5 p.m. on May 24 while en route to the resort town of Marmaris in the Aegean region.

Two die in crash in northern Greece
A 35-year-old driver and his 19-year-old passenger died on Wednesday after their car veered off the old national highway between Kozani and Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
The vehicle crashed into a tree, inflicting fatal injuries on both the driver and his female passenger.
