Turkey repatriates 755 nationals due to COVID-19
Turkey brought back a total of 755 of its nationals from countries worldwide as of April 27 as part of ongoing repatriation efforts for Ramadan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Some 162 Turkish nationals returning from Qatar on a special Turkish Airlines flight arrived at Esenboğa Airport in the capital Ankara while 292 citizens were taken to Izmir province.

Turkey repatriates 1,286 nationals over virus
Turkey brought back a total of 1,286 of its nationals from four African nations and Arab countries on April 26 as part of its ongoing repatriation efforts for Ramadan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Some 207 Turkish nationals returning from Somalia and Djibouti on a special Turkish Airlines flight arrived at Turkey's Nevşehir-Kapadokya Airport.

Turkey evacuates expats worldwide amid COVID-19
Turkey evacuated more than 1,700 of its nationals on April 23 from all over the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A specially arranged Turkish Airlines flight carrying 181 Turkish citizens left from Azerbaijan's Ganja International Airport and landed in the Black Sea province of Ordu.

Turkish Airlines mega-operation to bring nationals home
Ahead of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, Turkey's national flag carrier is mounting a massive nine-day operation to bring back Turkish nationals stranded by coronavirus transportation shutdowns.
On April 20-28, Turkish Airlines will operate 195 flights to bring home nearly 25,000 citizens back home from 59 countries as passenger flights were suspended to stem the virus' spread.
Turkish Airlines extends int’l flight suspension
Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines on April 14 announced extending the suspension of international flights amid coronavirus outbreak.
The company will not fly on international routes until May 2020 "in accordance with the decisions taken by the authorities of Turkey and to protect the public health from novel coronavirus pandemic."

Turkish Cargo maintains operations for healthier world
Turkish Cargo, a division of Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, has planned 155 flights per week for cargo freighters and 60 flights per week for passenger aircraft that are being used for cargo operations, departing from Istanbul in April.
Turkish Airlines halts domestic flights till April 20
Turkish Airlines on April 3 announced that due to the continuing coronavirus outbreak, it will suspend all domestic service until April 20.
On the heels of earlier flight suspensions due to the virus, the national flag carrier's "limited number of flights to and from 14 major cities will all be canceled until April 20," announced Bilal Eksi, Turkish Airlines' CEO.
Fresh Turkish overflights in eastern Aegean
Two Turkish F-16 fighter jets entered Athens' Flight Information Region (FIR) without submitting a flight plan at 2.19 p.m. Thursday and flew over Oinousses, in the eastern Aegean, at 26,000 feet.
Two minutes later, the two jets flew over Panagia islet at 21,000 feet.
The Turkish aircraft were intercepted by Greek jets in line with international rules of engagement.

Turkish Airlines extends suspension of global flights
Turkish Airlines has extended its suspension of all international flights to May 1 as part of measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the national flag carrier announced late on April 1.
Domestic flights have been limited to 14 metropolitan cities while all other domestic flights have been halted, Chief Executive Officer Bilal Ekşi said on Twitter.
Ankara rebuffs claims of inaccurate coronavirus data as cases top 9,000
The Turkish health ministry on March 29 reported 1,815 new coronavirus cases, marking the country's largest daily increase in infections, and 23 additional deaths.
That raised the total number of known infections in the country to 9,217, while the death toll has reached 131, it said.
