Officers of the Municipality of Athens and the Hellenic Police removed the tents of two homeless people who lived in the archaeological site of Philopappou Hill next to the Acropolis for three years.

Athens municipal police, in cooperation with regular police and street cleaning staff, have removed a makeshift structure used by homeless people from the archaeological site on Filopappou Hill in the center of the city. 

A statement from Athens Municipality said that drones were used to identify the location of the makeshift structure, which was in an inconspicuous spot.

You won't see Giorgos sleeping rough but he is still at risk of finding himself back on the streets, homeless and alone, as he was four years ago, when his small mom-and-pop business went bust after hobbling through the crisis.
