Fake psychic caught in Thessaloniki after gaining 35,000 from victim

A 75-year-old woman has been arrested in Thessaloniki for pretending to be a psychic and convincing 58-year-old woman suffering from an illness to give her 35,000 euros.

The 75-year-old woman was arrested after trying to cash an 11,400-euro check that her victim had given her. Police believe that the woman had been pretending to be a clairvoyant for the last two years, regularly gaining money from the 58-year-old.

The pensioner will face a misdemeanors prosecutor in Thessaloniki.
