Crete authorities uncover another weapons cache

Authorities on the southern island of Crete have arrested a suspect after uncovering a weapons cache containing a homemade explosive device, TNT, and a large quantity of ammunition. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, rented the storage space and installed aluminum foil at the entrance to block visual access to the interior. He also placed a sign indicating the space was being used as an office.

According to a statement, the search was conducted by the Hania and Iraklio police departments, with assistance from Crete's criminal investigation unit and a specially trained sniffer dog. The investigation led to the seizure of a homemade explosive device composed of two blocks of C-4 explosives, a detonator, and a modified mobile phone, all ready for use.
