Twelve Greece municipalities advance in property value reassessment
Twelve municipalities in Greece have advanced to the next phase of property value reassessments by private evaluators under the Ministry of Finance.
These municipalities, including Ag. Anargyroi-Kamatero, Vrilissia, Halandri, Glyfada, Piraeus, Ithaca, Karpathos, Loutraki, Symi, Pyrgos, Rhodes and Astypalea, seek to lower property tax values, arguing they exceed market rates.
Three injured in car pileup in southern Athens
Three individuals sustained minor injuries after a nine-vehicle pileup on Alimou Avenue in southern Athens at its junction with Vouliagmenis Avenue.
One of the injured was extricated from her vehicle by firefighters using a rescue rope.
The accident has caused traffic congestion on Alimou Avenue, at the intersection with Vouliagmenis Avenue.

Traffic measures due to controlled detonation in southern Athens

Army disarms WWII bomb found in southern Athens
An army bomb disposal unit on Thursday neutralized a World War II 500lb bomb that was found in the southern Athenian suburb of Glyfada.
The army unit used thermite, a pyrotechnic composition of metal powder and metal oxide used, among others, to disable munitions without the use of explosive charges.
