Two Greek bishops are rallying parents not to allow their children to be taught the new religion course programs at state-run schools.

Greek authorities have urged local residents and tourists to avoid visiting some of the most popular beaches around the capital Athens because of an oil spill from a sunken tanker approaching the coast, Macedonian electronic edition "Standard" said, quoted by FOCUS News agency.

Greece's Center for Disease Prevention and Control (KEELPNO) on Friday issued a public health warning, advising citizens and visitors to avoid exposure to areas affected by last weekend's oil spill in the Saronic Gulf.
