BELGRADE - Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic called on MPs Monday to adopt changes to the Law on Notaries Public that would allow lawyers to continue practicing contract law, as well as ensure a higher level of legal security for the citizens.

Selakovic urges bar associations to engage in dialogue
BELGRADE - Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic urged on Friday, on behalf of the government and the Justice Ministry, all bar associations in Serbia to continue the talks on the issues they pointed out as relevant, and called on them to end the strike, the minister's office stated in a release.

Selakovic rejects lawyers' proposal for EU mediation
BELGRADE - Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic has rejected the proposal by the Bar Association of Serbia (AKS) for the EU Delegation to Serbia to mediate the dispute between lawyers, who are on strike, and the Ministry of Justice, adding that the Ministry's offer for fulfillment of the lawyers' requests is still on the table.
