Greek Police, Interpol nab international forger
A 39-year-old Anglo-Sudanese man arrested in Athens last week as part of a joint operation by Greek police and Europol was a member of an international forgery ring that was unraveled in May, authorities said on Wednesday.
Mohamed A., also known as Ageep, was nabbed after a stakeout by police outside a passport forgery workshop in Kypseli.

High class prostitution ring busted! Well known manager involved
Greek police have smashed a high class prostitution ring operating in Greece and abroad after an ongoing investigation. Authorities arrested 17 members of the network on April 23, six of whom were Greek nationals and the other 11 foreigners. One of the 17 arrested was a 50-year old Greek who is reportedly the illicit organisation.
Refugee hit by police car in Greek camp dies
A Syrian refugee, who was hit by a police car at Idomeni camp on the Greece-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) border sparking riots, died of his injuries, hospital officials confirmed Saturday.
The 40-year-old Kurd, who had been living with his family for more than two months at the squalid camp, died of head injuries on Thursday, the officials said.

Migrants again block railroad near Idomeni
Migrants in Idomeni, Greece, on the border with Macedonia, have once again blocked the railroad tracks, Skopje-based media have reported.
According to the reports quoted on Tuesday by the Beta agency, the migrants blocked the tracks again yesterday, shortly after the Greek police moved in to clear it up after 30 days of blockade.

Two men with Swedish passports and carrying machetes and other "combat paraphernalia" have been arrested in Greece, suspected of links to jihadist groups, Greek police sources said on Jan. 31.
Heavy police presence for the anniversary of Grigoropoulos’s murder
The police is increasing the number of officers on duty today due to the anniversary of the police killing a teenager, Alexis Grigoropoulos, seven years ago.
Grigoropoulos was shot down by a police officer seven years ago at Exarchia, center of Athens.
