Ivanovic convincing against Lisicki in Dubai
DUBAI - Serbia's best female tennis player Ana Ivanovic advanced to the third round of the WTA tournament in Dubai after beating Germany's Sabine Lisicki 6-0, 6-3 on Tuesday.
Ivanovic will next play 17th-seeded Czech Carolina Pliskova, who defeated her compatriot Zahlavova Strycova 6-4, 6-2.

Aleksandra Krunic exits in Melbourne
MELBOURNE - Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic has failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open after losing to Lauren Davis of the United States 6-1, 7-5 at the start of her campaign on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Jelena Jankovic also suffered a first-round defeat, joining compatriots Ana Ivanovic and Bojana Jovanovski.

Jelena Jankovic out of Australian Open as well
MELBOURNE - After Ana Ivanovic and Bojana Jovanovski, Jelena Jankovic is the latest Serbian player to be ousted from the Australian Open, as she lost to Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky 6-1 6-4 on Tuesday.
Aleksandra Krunic is the only remaining Serbian player in the women's draw. She is scheduled to face Lauren Davis of the US in her first match at the tournament on Tuesday.

Ivanovic holds fifth spot, Jankovic 15th in WTA rankings
LONDON - Serbia's best female tennis player Ana Ivanovic kept hold of the fifth place while Jelena Jankovic is 15th in the new WTA rankings published Sunday, ahead of the start of the Australian Open.
Ivanovic has 4,845 and Jankovic 2590 points, while Bojana Jovanovski is back to 56th position with 910 points.
Ana Ivanovic reaches final in Brisbane
BRISBANE - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic advanced to the final of the WTA tournament in Brisbane after defeating Varvara Lepchenko of the United States 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 in the semifinals Friday morning CET.
Ivanovic's opponent in the final of the tournament played for a prize fund of USD 1 million will be either Russia's Maria Sharapova or Ukraine's Elina Svitolina.

Fed Cup: Krunic heads Serbian team,Ivanovic and Jankovic out
BELGRADE - Serbia's female tennis team will be shorter by Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic in the Euro/African zone matches at the Fed Cup in Budapest, February 4-7.
Coach Tatjana Jecmenica-Jeftic released that the Serbian team in the Fed Cup will comprise Aleksandra Krunic, Ivana Jorovic, Doroteja Eric and Vojislava Lukic.
Ivanovic returns to WTA top 5
LONDON - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic will finish the 2014 season with 4,820 points and ranked as WTA No. 5.
The Serbian has won four titles in 2014 and notched the highest number of wins on the WTA tour - 58, with 17 losses.

Jankovic ousted from Tianjin WTA tournament
TIANJIN - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic failed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament in Tianjin, after losing to China's Zheng Saisai 6-3, 6-3 in the second round on Thursday.
Jankovic continued her unpredictable trend this season. Although seeded first, she failed to capitalize on the role of the favorite against the 20-year-old Chinese, currently world number 112.

Jankovic advances to second round in Tianjin
TIANJIN - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic is through to the second round at the WTA tournament in Tianjin, after defeating Russia's Alla Kudrjavceva 6-2 0-6, 6-0 in the first round on Tuesday.
Top seed Jankovic will next face Zheng Saisai of China, who beat Hungary's Timea Babos 7-5, 6-4.
The prize money for the Tianjin open is USD 250,000.
