Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, WTA No. 3, has won the USD 5,381,325 worth Indian Wells (California) WTA tournament on Sunday, after defeating in a very disputed final Serbia's Jelena Jankovic 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Romanian tennis player Simona Halep has qualified, without playing, for the final of the WTA tournament in Indian Wells (California), equipped with total prizes worth 5,381,235 US dollars, following the withdrawal of No. 1 Seed Serena Williams from the semifinal due to a knee injury.

INDIAN WELLS - Serbian female tennis player Jelena Jankovic qualified for the finals at the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells as she defeated Germany's Sabine Lisicki in the match early on Saturday (CET), 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Jankovic eases into Indian Wells semi-finals
BELGRADE - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic has eased into the semi-finals of the WTA tournament in Indian Wells when her opponent Lesia Tsurenko of Ukraine retired with an injury in the second set.
Jankovic enjoyed a comfortable lead of 6-1 4-1 when world No. 85 Tsurenko pulled out with an ankle injury.

Jankovic in 4th round in Indian Wells
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic is in the 4th round of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, after beating Madison Keys of the US 5-7 6-4 6-3 on Monday.
This was Jankovic's second victory over Keys in their 3rd match against each other.

Jelena Jankovic through to Indian Wells third round
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic is through to the 3rd round of the Indian Wells WTA tournament after beating Lauren Davis of the United States 6-7 (5-7), 6-0, 6-4 early Sunday.
In the next round, Jankovic will face another American, Madison Keys, who defeated Klara Koukalova of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2.
Jankovic withdraws from Doha tournament
BELGRADE - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic did not make it to the quarterfinal of the WTA tournament in Doha after she withdrew with an injury allowing Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic to move on.
Jankovic could not carry on with the match due to a groin pull, so she retired at the point when Kvitova held the lead 6-3, 2-1.

Jankovic eases through to Doha second round
DOHA - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic advanced to the second round of the Qatar Total Open in Doha with a convincing win over China's Saisai Zheng 6-0, 6-2 on Tuesday.
Currently ranked as World No. 23 in the WTA rankings, Jankovic stormed past Zheng, dropping just two games in the second set.
Jankovic next faces No. 1 seed Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic.
