The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) has issued a yellow warning for strong winds in ten regions, primarily in Northern Bulgaria.

The temperature will rise again in Greece on Saturday, reaching 40 degrees Celsius on the mainland, while rain is expected in some northern parts of the country on Sunday, weather forecasters at the National Observatory of Athens's meteo.gr service said.

On Friday, Bulgaria will experience sunny weather with rising temperatures. The country, excluding the far eastern regions, faces Level 1 heat warnings. Maximum temperatures will range between 34 and 39 degrees, with Sofia reaching around 35 degrees. In Eastern Bulgaria, a weak to moderate east-southeast wind is expected.

Over the eastern half of the country, cumulus and cumulus clouds will develop before noon, bringing rain and thunder in some areas. There will be a moderate to strong wind from the north-northeast.

Today, Bulgaria will experience predominantly sunny weather. In the afternoon, cumulus clouds will start to form over Northern Bulgaria, with cumulus-rain clouds appearing over the Central North and Northeast regions by the evening. Short-term rains and thunder are expected in some areas, with hail being a possibility.

On Friday morning, clouds over the eastern half of Bulgaria will start to clear. However, by the afternoon, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will form again, leading to rain and thunder in certain areas. The wind, coming from the northwest, will be moderate to strong.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued weather warnings for today, with an orange code for heavy rain and thunderstorms in the regions of Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Razgrad, Shumen, and Silistra. The rest of the country is under a yellow code, except for the districts of Sofia-grad, Pernik, Kyustendil, Vidin, Vratsa, and Montana.

Today, the weather in Bulgaria will be mostly sunny during the morning across most parts of the country. However, cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will start to develop from the northwest. These clouds will become more pronounced in the afternoon and continue into the night leading to Thursday.

The air mass over Bulgaria will continue to be unstable today, leading to a yellow code warning for intense rainfall and thunderstorms issued by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. The warning is in effect for 21 areas across the country. According to the forecast, sunny weather will prevail in most regions before noon.
