Registration Plates of 30 Vehicles Taken Off on First Day of Sanctions
The registration plates of 30 vehicles have been taken off on the first day alone after the new harsher penalties stipulated in amendments to the Road Traffic Act entered into force, announced on bTV the deputy from the Reformist Bloc Nastimir Ananiev, who is also chairman of the Parliamentary Transport Committee.

Bomb disposal unit called for suspect car in downtown Athens (photos)
The bomb disposal unit has been called in to examine a suspect vehicle opposite the Bank of Greece in Athens. The vehicle was parked on Omirou and Stadiou street and it was found to have stolen license plates. Police have blocked off the surrounding streets.

Bennie L. Hart told the local press that the state official had rejected his application to keep his license plate, one which he had already been using for 12 years in Ohio, on the grounds that it was “vulgar and offensive.”

Bulgaria's Traffic Police To Remove Licence Plates of Drunk Drivers' Cars
Traffic police will remove the license plates of cars of drivers caught drunk, on drugs, without a driving license or if they refuse to give a breath sample.
The purpose of this measure is to prevent drivers from using the vehicle again.
The strict sanctions were adopted at second reading by the parliamentary Transport Commission.
No concrete progress in Belgrade-Pristina dialogue
This week's round of the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina ended in Brussels Thursday without concrete progress.
Addressed over two days of discussions were implementation of agreements on vehicle registration plates and university degrees and other topics that are part of the dialogue, the Belgrade delegation said.

Road tax reduction for used cars first registered in another EU country
Road tax is set to decrease for owners of used cars that were first registered in another European Union country, according to a Finance Ministry circular issued on Thursday.
For instance, a 1.6L car registered in Greece in 2004, after its first registration in France in 2000, will pay road tax of 250 euros for 2017, against 265 euros in 2016.
Validity of status-neutral KS registration plates extended in Brussels dialogue
BRUSSELS - A deal preventing a scrapping of Serbian vehicle registration plates in Kosovo-Metohija and extending the validity of status-neutral KS plates for another five years has been agreed in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
