Udovicic, Vusurovic sign Memorandum on Cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbia's Youth and Sports Minister Vanja Udovicic and Head of Directorate for Youth and Sports in the Montenegrin government Igor Vusurovic signed Thursday in Belgrade a Memorandum on Cooperation in sports and youth policy.

Udovicic said that regional cooperation is a priority for the Serbian government and stressed that such foreign policy is best promoted through sports.

Udovicic: Debate on amendments to sports law will begin soon

BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic met with Hungarian Secretary of State for Sports Istvan Simicsko in Budapest Wednesday to discuss improving cooperation between the two countries and the Hungarian experience in ownership transformation in sports.

Minister Udovicic said that a public debate on amendments to the Law on Sports would begin soon.

AECOM interested in building sports facilities in Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and senior vice-president of sports infrastructure development company AECOM Riad Nashif signed a protocol of cooperation in the field of public private partnership.

The UAE-based AECOM expressed interest in cooperation with Serbia, Udovicic said Monday.

Belgrade Marathon on April 27, gov't earmarks RSD 7 mln

BELGRADE - The Serbian government earmarked RSD 7 million for this year's Belgrade Marathon, which will be held on April 27.

A contract for financing the 27th Belgrade Marathon was signed by Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic, President of the Belgrade Marathon Aleksandar Djordjevic and Secretary General of the Athletics Federation of Serbia (ASS) Slobodan Brankovic.

Udovicic: Privatization in sports is necessary

NOVI SAD - Serbia's Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic said on Friday that it is necessary to engage in the changes and modernization of the sports system in Serbia.

We have set out to modernize all segments of the society, so it is necessary to modernize the sports system as well, Udovicic said in a public debate on privatization in sports, held in Novi Sad.
