Jankovic retires from Washington opening round due to injury
WASHINGTON - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player Jelena Jankovic retired from her first round match at the Washington tournament against Oceane Dodin of France due to injury.
Dodin was leading 2-0 in the third set and the two were tied 1-1.

Jankovic ousted by world number 272 Jing-Jing Lu
NANCHANG - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player Jelena Jankovic has ended her campaign at the Nanchang WTA tournament after losing 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 to world number 272 Jing-Jing Lu of China.
Sixth-seeded Jankovic, who currently ranks 70th in the WTA world rankings, confirmed she is still in a crisis of results.

Jankovic beats Riske in Rome opener
ROME - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player Jelena Jankovic has got off to a successful start at the Rome WTA tournament after beating American Alison Riske 6-3, 6-3 in the first round late Monday.
Jankovic, who won after 84 minutes, is now 2-0 head-to-head against Riske.

Jankovic defeated in Prague opener
PRAGUE - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player, world number 54 Jelena Jankovic, has been knocked out of the Prague WTA tournament after losing to the Czech Republic's Kristyna Pliskova 6-4, 6-4 in the opening round on Tuesday.
World number 51 Pliskova converted a break point in each set to win the match.

Jankovic, Krunic knocked out of Charleston tournament
CHARLESTON - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic and Aleksandra Krunic have been knocked out of the Charleston WTA tennis tournament.
Jankovic, the 2007 winner at the tournament, lost 6-1, 6-3 to Australian Samantha Stosur in the second round, with Krunic defeated 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 by Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.

Jankovic gets off to winning start in Charleston
CHARLESTON - Serbia's Jelena Jankovic has got off to a successful start at the Charleston WTA tennis tournament after beating Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-0, 6-4 in the opening round.
Jankovic - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player, who won the tournament in 2007 and reached the final in 2013 - will next face Australia's Samantha Stosur, against whom she is 7-2 head-to-head.

Jankovic beats Falconi, to face Venus Williams
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player Jelena Jankovic has got off to a successful start at the Indian Wells tournament after beating American Irina Falconi 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
Jankovic won their first-ever encounter after slightly over two hours of play and a series of errors and break points, especially in the second set.

Jankovic suffers early exit in Chinese Taipei
TAIPEI - Serbia's top-ranked female tennis player, Jelena Jankovic, has suffered an early exit from the WTA tournament in Chinese Taipei after losing 6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 6-4 to Kurumi Nara of Japan in the opening round on Tuesday.
Eight-seeded Jankovic lost to world number 87 Nara after two hours and 44 minutes of play.

Wawrinka beats Troicki, Jankovic knocked out by Kuznetsova
MELBOURNE - Serbians Jelena Jankovic and Viktor Troicki have both been knocked out in the third round of the Australian Open singles.
After 90 minutes of play, Jankovic lost 6-4, 5-7, 9-7 to Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova, who will face compatriot Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the next round.

Jankovic through to AO third round, Tsonga beats Lajovic
MELBOURNE - Serbian Jelena Jankovic is through to the Australian Open third round after beating Germany's Julia Gorges 6-3, 6-4 early Wednesday.
It was Jankovic's fourth victory in five matches against Gorges.
